Professional Organization Meetings. Meetings and conventions which are held to carry on the business of an organized group are not included as Board supported activities. Delegates to such meetings must seek to have their expenses paid by the organization which sends them (OEA, NEA, OSPA, etc.). Such delegates or participants, if their absence from school on a school day has been authorized, will not lose any wages and the cost of any necessary substitute will be paid for by the Board (and the absence will not be counted as personal reasons).

Professional Organization Meetings. Unit members serving as delegates to professional organizational meetings and conventions concerned primarily with internal affairs of the professional organization shall be permitted to attend such conventions without loss of pay to the unit member, but no expense incurred shall be reimbursed in such instances by the Board. Extensions of interpretation of "professional organizational meetings and conventions concerned primarily with internal affairs of the professional organization" shall be subject to the approval of the Superintendent or designee based on justification of need by the Union.

Related to Professional Organization Meetings

  • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.

  • Association Meetings The Association shall have the right to use school facilities for meetings without cost after the regular students’ school day.

  • Union/Management Meetings ‌ The Union Committee and the Senior Union Official of the Union, or her/his representative, shall, as occasion warrants, meet with the Committee on Labour Relations for the purpose of discussing and negotiating a speedy settlement of any grievance or dispute arising between the Employer and the employee concerned, including possible re-negotiations relative to this Agreement and the Schedules which are a part hereof. However, except for renegotiations of Agreements, these matters shall be introduced to such meetings only after the established grievance procedure has been followed. Grievances of a general nature may be initiated by a member of the Union Committee in step two of the grievance procedure outlined in Article 9.04.

  • Negotiation Meetings 1. Negotiation meetings will be scheduled at the request of the parties and, until negotiations are concluded, either party may require at each meeting a decision on the date, time, and place of a subsequent meeting.

  • Orientation Meeting Within thirty (30) calendar days from execution of the Contract, Vendor and Order Fulfillers will be required to attend an orientation meeting to discuss the content and procedures of the Contract to include reporting requirements. DIR, at its discretion, may waive the orientation requirement for Vendors who have previously held DIR contracts. The meeting will be held in the Austin, Texas area at a date and time mutually acceptable to DIR and the Vendor or by teleconference, at DIR’s discretion. DIR shall bear no cost for the time and travel of the Vendor or Order Fulfillers for attendance at the meeting.
