PROFESSIONAL LEAVE FOR ASSOCIATION BUSINESS. The Board shall grant to the Association 100 days of paid leave for its representatives to attend workshops, conferences, and other activities of the Association and its state and national affiliates (BVEA days). Requests shall be processed through the Association. Additional leave days may be granted to the Association by the Superintendent provided the expense of the substitute(s) shall be paid by the Association.

PROFESSIONAL LEAVE FOR ASSOCIATION BUSINESS. 12.17.1 With five (5) days' advance notification, the Superintendent or designee may grant thirty (30) release days for Association business. The president will be entitled to a maximum of fifteen (15) days per year, with no more than three (3) days per month. Other unit members may be granted up to five (5) days per year. If necessary, the Association may ask for excess days for special circumstances. The Association shall be responsible for the actual cost of substitutes provided.

  • Leave for Association Business The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence, without pay, to nurses selected by the Association to attend Association business including conferences, conventions and Provincial Committee meetings and to any nurse elected to the position of Local Co-ordinator. The cumulative total leave of absence, the amount of notice, the number of nurses that may be absent at any time from one area and the number of days (including those of the Local Co-ordinator) is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. During such leave of absence, a nurse's salary and applicable benefits or percentage in lieu of fringe benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the local Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the daily rate of the full-time nurse or in the amount of the full cost of such salary and percentage in lieu of fringe benefits of a part-time nurse except for Provincial Committee meetings which will be reimbursed by the Association. The Hospital will bill the local Association within a reasonable period of time. Part-time nurses will receive service and seniority credit for all leaves granted under this Article.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part- time employees who are elected to or appointed to the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario subject to the following limitations:

  • Professional Leaves 1. Professional Leaves are to be used by an employee to gain knowledge for the position contracted through Bath Local Schools.
