Preference and Vacation Approval. At any time during the calendar year, an employee may use accrued vacation, provided, however, all vacations shall be taken at such times as shall be approved by the department head or designee. Employees with the approved vacations which are later cancelled by the County may have unavoidable out-of-pocket costs associated with such vacations. The County will reimburse such reasonable out-of-pocket costs in accordance with County policy. This section will not be interpreted to provide a reason to delay or deny vacation approval.

Preference and Vacation Approval. Employees shall be given their preference in vacation time as approved by the department head or designee within the limits of the vacation schedule established by the department head. After reasonable notice to the Association, each department shall establish a system for assignment of vacations which affords reasonable recognition of seniority and annual rotation. Employees with approved vacations which are later canceled by the County may have unavoidable, out-of-pocket costs associated with such vacations. The County will reimburse such reasonable, out-of-pocket costs in accordance with County policy.

  • Utilization of Sick Leave with Pay Employees who have earned sick leave credits shall be eligible for sick leave for any period of absence from employment due to any of the following reasons: • illness; • bodily injury; • disability resulting from pregnancy; • necessity for medical or dental care; • if the employee is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault, or stalking; or the parent or guardian of a minor child or dependent who is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault or stalking, pursuant to ORS 659A.270 through 659A.290; • attendance at an employee assistance program; • exposure to contagious disease; • for the emergency repair of personal assistive devices which are medically necessary for the employee to perform assigned duties; • attendance upon members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family, or the equivalent of each for domestic partners, (parent, wife, husband, children, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, or another member of the immediate household) where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or death. • parental leave The employee has the duty to insure that they make other arrangements, within a reasonable period of time, for the attendance upon children or other persons in the employee’s care. Certification of an attending physician or practitioner may be required by the Agency to support the employee’s claim for sick leave if the employee is absent in excess of seven (7) days, or if the Agency has evidence that the employee is abusing sick leave privileges. The Agency may also require such certificate from an employee to determine whether the employee should be allowed to return to work where the Agency has reason to believe that the employee’s return to work would be a health hazard to either the employee or to others. (See Section 9 for FMLA & OFLA.)

  • Board Approval No reimbursement shall be paid to the Investment Adviser pursuant to this provision in any fiscal year, unless the Trust's Board of Trustees has determined that the payment of such reimbursement is appropriate in light of the terms of this Agreement. The Trust's Board of Trustees shall determine quarterly in advance whether any portion of the Reimbursement Amount may be paid to the Investment Adviser in such quarter.

  • Vacation and Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to vacation and paid time off in accordance with the standard policies of the Company for executives as in effect from time to time.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • VACATION AND VACATION PAY 9.01 All employees who are covered under this Agreement shall receive vacation pay as a percent of the employee's total earnings exclusive of the Employer's contribution to the Union's Benefit Plan. Income tax shall be deducted weekly from the employee's earnings increased by the amount of vacation pay.

  • Director Approval The Board of Directors of Holdings shall have approved this Agreement and the transactions contemplated herein.

  • Continuation of the Business of the Partnership After Dissolution Upon (a) dissolution of the Partnership following an Event of Withdrawal caused by the withdrawal or removal of the General Partner as provided in Section 11.1(a)(i) or (iii) and the failure of the Partners to select a successor to such Departing General Partner pursuant to Section 11.1 or Section 11.2, then, to the maximum extent permitted by law, within 90 days thereafter, or (b) dissolution of the Partnership upon an event constituting an Event of Withdrawal as defined in Section 11.1(a)(iv), (v) or (vi), then, to the maximum extent permitted by law, within 180 days thereafter, the holders of a Unit Majority may elect to continue the business of the Partnership on the same terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement by appointing as a successor General Partner a Person approved by the holders of a Unit Majority. Unless such an election is made within the applicable time period as set forth above, the Partnership shall conduct only activities necessary to wind up its affairs. If such an election is so made, then:

  • Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.

  • Vacation Scheduling (a) With the exception of authorized vacation carryover under Clause 18.6, the scheduling and completion of vacations shall be on a calendar-year basis.
