Preceptor Differential. Nurses who act in the capacity of a preceptor at 2 the request of the Hospital will be paid a differential of one dollar ($1.00) 3 per hour for all hours worked. To be eligible to act as a preceptor and 4 receive the differential described herein, the nurse must comply with the 5 criteria of the Hospital Preceptor Guidelines.

Preceptor Differential. The Hospital shall pay a differential of $1.50 per hour to a nurse who is designated by nursing management to serve as a preceptor to provide on-the-job training to newly hired nurses. One differential will be paid per shift per orientee to the primary preceptor for all hours served as the primary preceptor for that shift. Preceptor will only be paid while the newly hired nurse is in a one-to-one status. Preceptor is a voluntary assignment and the nurse has the option to refuse the preceptor assignment.

The Hospital shall further 12 have the discretion to assign preceptor duties to a qualified preceptor at the above- 13 described rate in other circumstances it deems appropriate. This differential will not be 14 paid for any unworked hours or for any hours when the nurse is not working as a 15 preceptor.
