Personal Necessity/Professional-Personally Compelling Leave. 11.8.1 Any employee may elect to use up to seven (7) days of his/her accumulated sick leave in any school year for purposes of personal necessity/professional-personally compelling or appearance in court as a litigant, or as a witness under official order. Personal Necessity/Professional-Personally Compelling Leave shall be limited to serious circumstances that the employee cannot reasonably be expected to disregard and that necessitate his/her immediate personal attention during hours of service. However, four (4) of the seven (7) days may be taken each school year without specifying one of the aforementioned reasons. If such day is adjacent to a holiday break, the following must occur:  Written requests must be submitted at least 10 days prior to said days of leave  Maximum of two employees may utilize this day Specific exceptions may be made for unforeseen emergencies with appropriate documentation: i.e. doctor’s/hospitalization form, transportation bills/schedules

  • Personal Necessity Leave 13.2.1 A maximum of seven (7) days of sick leave may be used by an employee in any school year for personal necessity, for the following purposes:

  • Personal Necessity 1.1 Unit members may use a maximum of seven (7) days of accumulated sick leave for personal necessity. Personal Necessity Leave shall be limited to circumstances that are serious in nature and that the employee cannot reasonably be expected to disregard, that necessitate immediate attention and cannot be taken care of after work hours or on weekends.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.
