Payment of annual leave loading. An employee shall receive an annual leave loading, which is 17.5% of the value of accrued annual leave entitlements. The annual leave loading will be paid for annual leave which has accrued during the period December 1 and November 30 of that year. The loading shall be calculated on the employee’s normal rate of pay as at 30 November and be paid in December of each year. The annual leave loading hereby prescribed shall also apply to proportionate leave on effective termination of employment. The leave loading shall be paid at 17.5% of the value of the accrued annual leave from the last payment to the date of termination. The employees and the Council agree that this provision excludes the operation of protected conditions which deal with annual leave loading.
