PASTRY DEPARTMENT Sample Clauses

PASTRY DEPARTMENT. The Union and the Employer agreed to move the Pastry classifications into their own department during the 2007 negotiations. It was understood and agreed at that time that some employees may had been cross-trained and/or had tickets which would allow them to work in the Kitchen and Pastry departments, particularly in the event of a reduction in hours or on a layoff. All employees working as of September 1st, 2007 were permitted to move across departments to protect their hours based on the rules in place prior to the signing of that agreement. Employees hired after September 1st, 2007 were used in one department or the other, pursuant to the applicable collective agreement provisions at that time. All other provisions of the agreement relating to separate departments are applied.
