Paid Time Off Compensation. Accrued. Paid Time Off as appropriate shall be payable at the employee’s regular rate of pay on the first (1st) day of bona fide illness, injury, disability due to pregnancy or childbirth, or illness or injury of the employee or the employee’s dependent child, spouse, parent, parent-in-law, or grandparent, pursuant to state law. Employees scheduled to work the first shift shall be required to notify the Employer one and one-half (1½) hours in advance of the employee’s scheduled shift if unable to report for duty. Two (2) hours’ advance notice shall be required if the employee is unable to report for scheduled duty on the second (2nd) or third (3rd) shift. Failure to do so may result in loss of Paid Time Off compensation for that day. The Employer shall give consideration to extenuating circumstances that make such notice requirements impossible. A central receiving system will be established to receive incoming calls. The Employer reserves the right to require reasonable proof of illness. Proven abuse of accrued Paid Time Off shall be grounds for discharge.

  • Vacation Accruals Length of Service Accrual Rate Per Month 0 - 10 yrs. 1 1/4 days 11 - 20 yrs. 1 2/3 days Upon completion of 20 years 2 1/12 days A staff member will be paid for vacation at the staff member’s base rate of pay.

  • Vacation Accrual Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.

  • Maximum Vacation Accrual Employees may accrue vacation up to a maximum of two hundred forty (240) hours. An employee who has reached the maximum accrual level may continue to accrue vacation until his or her next anniversary date, at which time any vacation accrued in addition to the two hundred forty (240) hour maximum accrual will be extinguished. With the written approval of the appropriate Vice President, an employee may accrue more than two hundred forty (240) hours of vacation when he or she is precluded from taking a previously scheduled vacation because of University needs. Any such written approval will specify a timeline for the employee to use any excess vacation accrual, after which any excess vacation accrual will be extinguished.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Unpaid Time Off All accruals must be exhausted prior to taking unpaid time off (unless eligible for EIT access).

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 126. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time- and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime as provided for elsewhere in this contract. 127. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.

  • Part-time Vacation Pay If the Employer currently has the computer systems’ capability to implement bi- weekly vacation pay, they shall do so by the start of the next vacation year or earlier. Those Employers with no computer capability will endeavour to implement bi- weekly vacation pay if there is no significant administrative burden, by the start of the next vacation year or earlier. If the Employer does not so implement, it will provide reasons in writing to the Union. Where possible without extensive programming changes, the amount of vacation pay will be separately identified on the pay stub.

  • Vacation Payout Where an employee requests in writing to have a specific number of vacation days paid out, and the Employer agrees to the request, the Employer will issue pay in lieu of vacation. Pay in lieu of vacation, if agreed, will be granted only after a minimum of 15 days' vacation time has already been taken in the year.
