Overtime and Work Schedule Waivers. Nurses may be afforded the 25 opportunity to work flexible hours by waiving contractual overtime or premium pay by 26 mutual written consent between the nurse and the nurse manager. Individual daily 27 waivers will be copied to the Union upon written request; standing (recurring) waivers 28 will be routinely copied to the Union by the Hospital. The Union shall have ten (10) 29 calendar days from receipt of such written standing waiver agreements to challenge the 30 appropriateness of the waiver. If challenged a meeting with the nurse, manager and 31 Union representative shall occur. If after the meeting the challenge remains unresolved 32 any standing waiver that deviates from the agreed to provisions of the contract shall be 33 considered void. Any nurse who enters into a waiver may rescind such waiver upon 34 written notice to the Hospital by the fifth (5th) of the month to be effective on the 1 following month’s posted work schedule.

  • HOURS AND WORK SCHEDULES 1. The basic department, agency or other operational unit work schedules and practices, including work schedules or practices peculiar to particular classes, in effect on the effective date of this Agreement, shall not be changed without the employer informing MSEA-SEIU in advance and negotiating the impact of such changes, if requested, on the affected employees. Negotiations shall occur no longer than a thirty (30) day period prior to the implementation of the change. If the parties have not reached agreement within the thirty (30) day period, the obligation to bargain shall continue.

  • NORMAL WORK SCHEDULES 112. Unless otherwise provided in this Agreement, a “normal work day” is a tour of duty of eight (8) hours completed within not more than nine (9) hours. The normal work week for employees covered by this agreement is 40 hours.
