APPENDIX B‌ Letter of Understanding Between Avon Maitland District School Board And Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario Avon Maitland Local RE: Interviews on Professional Activity Days Provided the Ministry of Education permits a Professional Activity Day for parent and teacher interviews, the interviews will be structured as follows for the duration of the collective agreement: All parents/guardians are to be offered an interview. Interviews will be scheduled on the evening prior to the Professional Activity Day. The Principal will consult with the teachers so that the interviews offered on the Professional Activity Day will be offered in either of: The morning; The afternoon; The equivalent of one-half day during the day. During the block of time that interviews are not offered, the teachers are not required to be in the school. Notwithstanding the above, the parties agree that a teacher will schedule interviews at times other than the above to accommodate the scheduling requirements of a parent/guardian.

  • Definition of Holiday Pay and Qualifiers (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) Holiday pay will be computed on the basis of the employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay times the employee's normal daily hours of work. In order to qualify for holiday pay for any holiday, as set out in the Local Provisions Appendix, or to qualify for a lieu day an employee must complete her scheduled shift on each of the working days immediately prior to and following the holiday except where absence on one or both of the said qualifying days is due to a satisfactory reason. An employee who was scheduled to work on a holiday, as set out in the Local Provisions Appendix, and is absent shall not be entitled to holiday pay or to a lieu day to which she would otherwise be entitled unless such absence was due to a satisfactory reason. An employee who qualifies to receive pay for any holiday or a lieu day will not be entitled, in the event of illness, to receive sick pay in addition to holiday pay or a lieu day in respect of the same day.

  • Establishment of Qualified Settlement Fund 5.1 No later than five (5) business days after entry of the Preliminary Order, the Escrow Agent shall establish an escrow account. The Settling Parties agree that the escrow account is intended to be, and will be, an interest-bearing Qualified Settlement Fund within the meaning of Treas. Reg. § 1.468B-1. In addition, the Escrow Agent timely shall make such elections as necessary or advisable to carry out the provisions of this Paragraph 5.1, including the “relation-back election” (as defined in Treas.   • STATUTORY PENALTY FOR INADEQUATE QUALIFIED INVESTMENT Pursuant to Section 313.0275 of the TEXAS TAX CODE, in the event that the Applicant fails to make $10,000,000 of Qualified Investment, in whole or in part, during the Qualifying Time Period, the Applicant is liable to the State for a penalty. The amount of the penalty is the amount determined by: (i) multiplying the maintenance and operations tax rate of the school district for that tax year that the penalty is due by (ii) the amount obtained after subtracting (a) the Tax Limitation Amount identified in Section 2.4.B from (b) the Market Value of the property identified on the Appraisal District's records for the Tax Year the penalty is due. This penalty shall be paid on or before February 1 of the year following the expiration of the Qualifying Time Period and is subject to the delinquent penalty provisions of Section 33.01 of the TEXAS TAX CODE. The Comptroller may grant a waiver of this penalty in the event of Force Majeure which prevents compliance with this provision.
