Notification of Leave for Union Business. Two (2) weeks’ notice shall be given by the Union to the Employer for leaves of absence granted under Clause 23.02 (Leave for Union Functions) and two (2) months’ notice shall be given by the Union for leaves of absence granted under Clause 23.03 (Leave for Full-time Union Duties). As much notice as is possible shall be given by the Union to the Employer for leave of absences granted under Clause 23.01 (Leave for Union Business). It will be the responsibility of each affected employee to notify directly the Superintendent of Schools/Secretary-Treasurer or designate prior to the leave being taken.

  • Leave for Union Business The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence, without pay, to nurses selected by the Union to attend Union business including conferences, conventions and Provincial Committee meetings and to any nurse elected to the position of Local Co-ordinator. The cumulative total leave of absence, the amount of notice, the number of nurses that may be absent at any time from one area and the number of days (including those of the Local Co-ordinator) is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. During such leave of absence, a nurse's salary and applicable benefits or percentage in lieu of fringe benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the local Union agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the daily rate of the full-time nurse or in the amount of the full cost of such salary and percentage in lieu of fringe benefits of a part-time nurse except for Provincial Committee meetings which will be reimbursed by the Union. The Hospital will xxxx the local Union within a reasonable period of time. Part-time nurses will receive service and seniority credit for all leaves granted under this Article.

  • Time Off for Union Business Leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority will be granted:

  • PRIVATE BUSINESS/GENERAL/PERSONAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE 12.1 For personal reasons, and subject to the operational needs of the school, teachers shall be granted one (1) personal day per school year at no cost to the teacher. Unused days referred to in this clause shall accumulate to a maximum of three (3) days. No more than three (3) days of such leave may be used in the same school year.

  • Leave of Absence for Union Business (a) The Employer shall grant leaves of absence to employees to attend Union Conventions, negotiations of the Collective Agreement with the Employer and other Union business. The Union agrees that such leave will not unduly affect the proper operations or be detrimental to the proficient operations of the Employer.

  • For Union Business Representatives of the Union shall not suffer any loss of pay when required to leave their employment temporarily in order to carry on negotiations with the Employer, or with respect to a grievance.

  • Local Union Business Leave The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence without pay to local bargaining unit members for the purpose of attending Union seminars and/or attending to Union business. The cumulative total leave of absence will be determined locally, but shall not exceed sixty (60) days per year per hospital. The amount of notice required and the number of employees who may be absent at any one time and from any one area shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • COMMERCIAL REUSE OF SERVICES The member or user herein agrees not to replicate, duplicate, copy, trade, sell, resell nor exploit for any commercial reason any part, use of, or access to 's sites.
