Military Leave for Training Purposes. (1) Section (1) of Florida Statute 115.07 requires the City to grant leaves of absence to City employees who are commissioned reserve officers or reserve enlisted personnel in the United States military or naval service or members of the National Guard without loss of vacation leave, pay, time, or efficiency rating. This leave is required on all days during which the City employee is engaged in training ordered under the provisions of the United States military or naval training regulations regardless of whether they are assigned to active or inactive duty.

Eligibility—A unit member who is a member of the National Guard or of the U.S. Armed Forces Reserves, and who is required by the laws of the United States or of Maryland to report for a training period, shall be eligible for a grant of military leave for training purposes.
