MAINTENANCE OF MEMBERSHIP AND DUES DEDUCTION. Any employee in this unit who has authorized Association dues deductions on the effective date of this MOU or at any time subsequent to the effective date of this MOU shall continue to have such dues deductions made by the City during the term of this MOU: provided however, that any employee in the unit may terminate such Association dues during the first ten (10) days of January by notifying the Association in writing of his/her termination of Association dues deduction. Such notification shall be delivered in person or by U.S. mail and should be in the form of a letter containing the following information: employee name, employee number, job classification, department name and name of the association from which dues deductions are to be canceled. The Association will provide the City’s Human Resources Department with the appropriate documentation to process these dues cancellations within ten (10) business days after the close of the withdrawal period. The Association shall provide full protection to the City by indemnifying, defending and holding the City harmless from and against all claims and liabilities as a result of deducting dues from employees who have authorized the deduction.

MAINTENANCE OF MEMBERSHIP AND DUES DEDUCTION. Each employee who becomes a member of the bargaining unit and elects to become a member of the Union shall continue his/her membership in the Union during the duration of this agreement; provided, however, that an employee may at his/her discretion and in writing, withdraw his/her membership from the Union any time within (15) days prior to each annual anniversary date of this agreement. The Union shall notify all members in writing of this provision before the start of the withdrawal period. Should there be a dispute between an employee and the Union over the matter of an employee's Union membership, the Union agrees to hold the Town harmless in any such dispute.

  • Membership and Dues Deduction District shall distribute CSEA-supplied membership applications to appropriate new hires (but not make any statement suggesting workers must join). District shall refer all employee questions about CSEA or dues over to the CSEA Labor Relations Representative. This agreement shall satisfy District’s duty to bargain effects of Xxxxx decision. The District shall not interfere with the terms of any agreement between CSEA and the District’s employee with regard to that employee’s membership in CSEA. CSEA shall have the sole and exclusive right to receive the payroll deduction for regular membership dues.

  • Maintenance of Membership Any Employee who is a member in good standing, or is reinstated as a member of the Union shall, as a condition of continued employment, maintain such membership in good standing throughout the term of this Agreement.
