Locum. (a) A Locum (an interim replacement nurse) is a nurse hired on a term and task basis to replace nurses on leave of absence, including pregnancy and adoption leave for a fixed period of time. A nurse hired on this basis shall be deemed to be in the bargaining unit; however, the parties agree that such interim replacement nurse shall have no claim to the position temporarily filled.

  • Cross Training (a) The parties recognize the importance of cross training to ensure that employees are properly trained for backup and for promotions.
