Informal Processes. The Parties agree that, where mutually agreeable, they may first attempt to use policies or processes to resolve complaints of harassment and sexual harassment prior to accessing the following procedures outlined below on Mediation and Investigation.
Informal Processes. Before embarking upon the formal prior warning process the employer may (having regard to the circumstances) consider it more appropriate to deal with the issue by way of verbal warning, reprimand or through counselling. These incidents are ancillary to the formal prior warning process.

  • Informal Process The Informal Process provides an Employee with the opportunity to resolve his or her concern by using the open door process, with the assistance of a FC member, within 30 calendar days of the date the Employee became aware of the issue. While an Employee may speak with anyone in the open door process regarding a concern or problem, the Employee is encouraged to take this concern up with his immediate supervisor or may request the assistance of the Employee Advocate or a FC member to facilitate resolution of the issue.

  • Informal Grievance Procedure It shall be the mutual responsibility of employees and management to endeavor to resolve grievances informally at the lowest practicable level of management. To this end, the grievant shall first present the grievance to the grievant's immediate supervisor in an informal meeting within ten (10) days after the occurrence of the circumstances giving rise to the grievance or when the grievant first actually knew, or could have reasonably known of them. The grievant may request the meeting be held at any reasonable time, and the supervisor shall meet with the grievant as soon as reasonably practicable after receipt of the request. In the meeting, the grievant and the supervisor shall review the grievance. The employee shall fully and fairly explain: the alleged action or inaction by the employee's department which caused grievance; the written departmental policy allegedly violated by the department; and the remedy the grievant believes will resolve the grievance. The parties shall cooperate in seeking a resolution of the grievance. If questions beyond the scope of the supervisor's authority or knowledge are involved, the supervisor may consult the supervisor's superiors or other County officers. The supervisor shall present an informal, oral decision with supporting reasons to the grievant within ten (10) days after the meeting.

Upon presentation to the Vice President of a petition, signed by one-third (1/3) of the full-time members of the department who are eligible to participate, excluding the Department Chair, stating specific reasons for recalling the Department Chair, the Vice President shall promptly give fourteen (14) days written notice to all full-time department members setting forth the time, date and place of a meeting to consider the recall petition and to vote on either a motion that the Department Chair continue in office or a motion to recommend to the President that he/she declare a vacancy to exist in the chair of the department. The Department Chair may be present at this meeting.

  • Formal Process A. Step 1: If a grievant is not satisfied with the resolution proposed at the informal level, s/he may within fourteen (14) days after the supervisor's response was due file a formal written grievance with his/her manager on a form provided by the County Personnel Office containing a statement describing the grievance, the section of this Agreement allegedly violated, and remedy requested.   • COMPLAINT PROCEDURES CONTRACTOR shall maintain and adhere to its written procedures for responding to parent complaints. These procedures shall include annually notifying and providing parents of LEA pupils with appropriate information (including complaint forms) for the following: (1) Uniform Complaint Procedures pursuant to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations section 4600 et seq.; (2) Nondiscrimination policy pursuant to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations section 4960 (a); (3) Sexual Harassment Policy, California Education Code 231.5 (a) (b) (c); (4) Title IX Pupil Grievance Procedure, Title IX 106.8 (a) (d) and 106.9 (a); and (5) Notice of Privacy Practices in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). CONTRACTOR shall include verification of these procedures to the LEA.

  • DISCIPLINE PROCEDURES The discipline procedure may be initiated only within twenty (20) Days of the date the President or Vice-President (Academic and Research) knew, or ought reasonably to have known, of the occurrence of the matter giving rise to discipline.
