Inactive and Abandoned Accounts. If you have an account that you have not made a withdrawal from, deposit to, or transfer involving your account for more than twelve (12) months and the Credit Union has been unable to contact you by regular mail during that period, the Credit Union may classify your account as an inactive account and may charge an inactive account service fee as allowed by applicable law and set forth on the Rate and Fee Schedule. Thereafter, dividends will not be paid on the account if the balance falls below any minimum balance requirement. The Credit Union will notify you at your last known address prior to imposing any fee as required by law. Checking accounts will continue to incur the monthly maintenance fee, if applicable, until closed by the member. You authorize us to transfer funds from an available account of yours to cover the monthly maintenance fee, if necessary. If a deposit or withdrawal has not been made on the account and the Credit Union has had no other contact with you for three (3) years as required by the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act, the account will be presumed to be abandoned. Funds in abandoned accounts will be remitted in accordance with state law. Once funds have been turned over to the state, the Credit Union has no further liability to you for such funds and if you choose to reclaim such funds, you must apply to the appropriate state agency.

Inactive and Abandoned Accounts. If you have an account that you have not made a withdrawal from, deposit to, renewal of, or transfer involving your account for more than 9 months the Credit Union may classify your account as inactive and may charge an inactive account service fee as allowed by applicable law and set forth on the Rate Addendum and Schedule of Fees and Charges. If your account is classified as inactive and the Credit Union has been unable to contact you during this period, the Credit Union may classify your account as dormant and may charge a dormant account service fee as allowed by law and set forth on the Rate Addendum and Schedule of Fees and Charges. Thereafter, dividends or interest will not be paid on the account if the balance falls below any minimum balance requirement. If a deposit or withdrawal has not been made on the account, you have not otherwise indicated an interest in the account, or the Credit Union has had no other contact with you within three (3) years as required by the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act, the account may be presumed abandoned. Funds in abandoned accounts will be remitted in accordance with state law. Once funds have been turned over to the state, the Credit Union has no further liability to you for such funds. Inactive and Abandoned Accounts. ‌ If for a prolonged period of time you fail to make an initial deposit to your Account, we reserve the right to close your Account without notice to you. If for a period of 12 months on a Checking Account or a period of 24 months on a Savings, Money Market, or matured Certificate of Deposit Account there has been no deposit to, withdrawal from, or transfer from the Account, or if you have not contacted us regarding the Account in person, over the phone, in writing, or by way of Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or ATM, we may classify the Account as an Inactive Account and may terminate or close the Account or charge an Inactive Account service fee as set forth in the Consumer Account Disclosure. If your Inactive Account remains open we, may cease to pay interest on the Inactive Account unless otherwise required by applicable law. Accounts will continue to incur any monthly maintenance or other applicable fees until terminated or closed. You hereby authorize us to transfer funds from the Available Balance from any of your Accounts to cover these fees as necessary. If your Accounts become inactive and presumed abandoned as provided by applicable state law, any Available Balance in the Account will be turned over to the state in accordance with that state’s law. Once funds have been turned over to the state, we have no further liability for the funds, and if you choose to reclaim them, you must apply to the appropriate state agency.

Inactive and Abandoned Accounts. Each jurisdiction in which we do business has laws that govern when Accounts are deemed inactive or abandoned, and when we need to send or escheat funds to the state or local government. Generally, the law of the state of your last known residence as shown in our records governs when Accounts are considered abandoned. You can ensure your Account remains active by making a deposit or withdrawal within the parameters set forth in the following paragraph, or by telling us to keep it active. If we have not had contact with you, there is no activity on your checking Account for 12 months or your savings Account for 24 months and you have not otherwise indicated an interest in your Account, we will classify your Account as inactive.
