Healthcare Equalizer The Village shall, during the first pay period in January make half of the taxable healthcare equalizer payment to each IUOE bargaining unit employee actively employed at the time of the payment. The Village shall during the first pay period in July make the remaining half of the taxable healthcare equalizer payment to each IUOE bargaining unit employee actively employed and on payroll at the time of payment. The taxable healthcare equalizer payment will be prorated quarterly for new hires. For example a new hire entering the bargaining unit on April 15, 2015 will receive one quarter of the equalizer amount on the first payroll of the month following their start date, the remaining half of the equalizer payment would be made on the first payroll in July. Return to Village Insurance Coverage Upon expiration of this agreement, should the parties agree to allow bargaining unit employees to return to the Village medical, dental, and vision plans, said return must apply to all bargaining unit employees as a group. In the event of such agreement, the Village shall have no obligation to pay for or to provide medical, dental, or vision insurance to employees who decide to not come back onto the Village plans. If such return occurs, the parties agree that bargaining unit employees will be eligible to enroll in the medical, dental, and vision plans available subject to the same terms and conditions of the non- union employee plans, as may be modified from time to time by the Village. Should during the term of this agreement, the IUOE Health and Welfare Trust cease to exist and post COBRA continuation, bargaining unit employees shall be eligible to enroll in the Village medical, dental, and vision plans in place at that time and subject to the same conditions and terms of the non-union employee plans, as may be modified from time to time by the Village.
