For Building Service Contracts. For Building Service Maintenance contracts (janitors, waxers, shampooers, and window cleaners) and other types of service maintenance contracts where work is performed on a regularly scheduled basis at specified location(s), an L & I approved Affidavit is required to be submitted for each contract year covering work performed the prior twelve months. The contract anniversary date shall be the date used to establish the filing period. For all other service maintenance contracts, including building service maintenance work, where work is performed on an intermittent basis at specified or unspecified locations as may be provided for in the scope of work, an L & I approved Affidavit of Wages Paid form is required to be submitted for each work order/call-out, upon completion of the work order/call-out. Payroll, wage, and cost records shall be retained, and may be audited or inspected. The Contractor, every Subcontractor, and all other individuals or firms required to pay prevailing wages are subject to investigation—including but not limited to on-site compliance interviews—by Purchasing and Contracting (PC) and L&I in regard to payment of the required prevailing wage to workers, laborers, and mechanics employed on the project. If the investigations result in a finding that an individual or firm has violated the requirement to pay the prevailing rate of wage, the Owner may withhold payments to the Contractor. The Contractor or Subcontractor may also be subject to civil penalties and may be prohibited from bidding on any contract within the State of Washington for the period specified by law. Background Checks and Immigrant Status: Background checks will/will not be required for workers that will be performing the work under this contract. The City has strict policies regarding the use of Background checks, criminal checks, immigrant status, and/or religious affiliation for contract workers. SHORT TERM EXTENSION In the event a replacement Contract has not been issued, any Contract let and awarded hereunder by the State, may be extended unilaterally by the State for an additional period of up to 3 months upon notice to the Contractor with the same terms and conditions as the original Contract including, but not limited to, prices and delivery requirements. With the concurrence of the Contractor, the extension may be for a period of up to 6 months in lieu of 3 months. However, this extension terminates should the replacement Contract be issued in the interim. SPECIFICATIONS During the term of the Contract, the Authorized User may request Product specifications for particular items that have been included by the Contractor in its Pricing Pages.   • Building Services Labor Law Article 9 applies to Contracts for building service work over $1,500 with a public agency, that: (i) involve the care or maintenance of an existing building, or (ii) involve the transportation of office furniture or equipment to or from such building, or (iii) involve the transportation and delivery of fossil fuel to such building, and (iv) the principal purpose of which is to furnish services through use of building service employees.

  • Janitorial Services or Building Maintenance Services If this Agreement is for janitorial or building maintenance services, this section is applicable. If this Agreement requires Contractor to perform Services at a new site, Contractor shall retain for sixty (60) days all employees currently employed at that site by any previous contractor that performed the same services at the site. Contractor shall provide upon request information sufficient to identify employees providing janitorial or building maintenance services at each site and to make the necessary notifications required under Labor Code section 1060 et seq.

  • PREVAILING WAGE RATES - PUBLIC WORKS AND BUILDING SERVICES CONTRACTS If any portion of work being Bid is subject to the prevailing wage rate provisions of the Labor Law, the following shall apply:

  • Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.

  • Use of Buildings and Equipment 21.4.1 The Association shall have the right to use District buildings, sites, and equipment during all reasonable hours for meetings and other Association activities.
