Federal Equal Opportunity Requirements. A. D-SNP Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, physical or mental handicap, disability, age or status as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era. D-SNP Contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that qualified applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, physical or mental handicap, disability, age or status as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era. Such action shall include, but not be limited to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and career development opportunities and selection for training, including apprenticeship. D-SNP Contractor agrees to post in conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for employment, notices to be provided by the Federal Government or DHCS, setting forth the provisions of the Equal Opportunity clause, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the affirmative action clause required by the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (38 USC 4212). Such notices shall state D-SNP Contractor’s obligation under the law to take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified applicants without discrimination based on their race, color, religion, sex, national origin physical or mental handicap, disability, age or status as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era and the rights of applicants and employees.

SIERRA shall send to each labor union or representative of workers with which it has a collective bargaining agreement or other contract or understanding a notice, to be provided by the Federal Government or the State, advising the labor union or workers' representative of the SIERRA’S commitments under the provisions herein and shall post copies of the notice in conspicuous places available to employees and applicants for employment...

  • Equal Opportunity Compliance The Contractor agrees to abide by all federal and state laws and rules and regulations, and executive orders of the Governor of the State of New Mexico, pertaining to equal employment opportunity. In accordance with all such laws of the State of New Mexico, the Contractor assures that no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental handicap, or serious medical condition, spousal affiliation, sexual orientation or gender identity, be excluded from employment with or participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity performed under this Agreement.   • MINIMUM WAGE LAWS A. Pursuant to the United States of America Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended, and State of California Labor Code, §1178.5, CONTRACTOR shall pay no less than the greater of the federal or California Minimum Wage to all its employees that directly or indirectly provide services pursuant to this Agreement, in any manner whatsoever. CONTRACTOR shall require and verify that all its contractors or other persons providing services pursuant to this Agreement on behalf of CONTRACTOR also pay their employees no less than the greater of the federal or California Minimum Wage.
