Extended Contractual Compensation. A teacher shall not be required to work without pay prior to or after the dates specified on the individual teacher's Regular Teacher's Contract for which teaching or additional services are to be rendered. When a teacher is requested to work prior to or after the dates specified on the individual teacher's Regular Teacher's Contract for which teaching, or additional services are to be rendered, the teacher shall be paid, for each full day worked, his or her per diem rate; or for each hour worked, his or her hourly rate, as computed on the existing Career Pathway Schedule, Appendix A.

J. Teacher Hiring Schedule The base salaries of teachers covered by the Agreement are set forth in Appendix A of this Agreement which is attached to and incorporated in this Agreement. Such hiring schedule shall remain in effect during the term of this Agreement.

J. Teacher Hiring Schedule This schedule is to be used solely for the purpose of determining the base salary for teachers at the time a teacher is hired. It is not used for increases to individual teacher base salaries after the date of hire; such increases shall be solely determined pursuant to Article 6-E. ECS shall increase the base by two (2%) percent, effective for 2016-2017 hires. In the event a teacher who is currently employed by ECS under a contract which would provide for compensation less than the salary established for a teacher hired with a BA and 0 years experience, the teacher’s compensation shall be increased, provided the teacher is not currently rated as Ineffective or Improvement Necessary, to an amount equivalent to BA-0, plus any increase previously received by said teacher under the base pay compensation plan.
