Entitlement to Paid Holiday Leave Credits. Paid holiday leave credits shall be earned by a Nurse on the basis of regular hours paid. A Nurse shall accumulate entitlement on the basis of one (1) hour of holiday credit for each 23.6 regular hours paid (including the straight time hourly equivalent to overtime hours worked) to a maximum accrual of 88 hours of holiday credits in a fiscal year period.

Entitlement to Paid Holiday Leave Credits. Paid holiday leave credits shall be earned by a Nurse on the basis of regular hours paid. A Nurse shall accumulate entitlement on the basis of one (1) hour of holiday credit for each 23.4 regular hours paid (including the straight time hourly equivalent to overtime hours worked) to a maximum accrual of 82.5 hours of holiday credits in a fiscal year period. If the Government of Canada or the Province of Nova Scotia officially proclaims an additional holiday(s), Nurses shall accumulate additional holiday credits. In such case, the Employer shall revise the above noted calculation for accumulation accordingly. This provision is not applicable to a Casual Nurse (except a Casual Nurse while in a Temporary Position).

  • Sick Leave Credits Regular employees who have completed their probationary period will accrue sick leave credits at the rate of one day per month to a maximum of 156 days. Upon completion of their probationary period, an employee will be credited with sick leave back to the employee's starting date. Upon request, an employee will be advised in writing of the balance of their sick leave credits.

  • Sick Leave Credit All employees shall be able to draw on a block of seven days' sick leave when they commence employment. If all or part of this block of sick leave is used, it will be paid back as sick leave is accumulated. If an employee ceases employment and has a negative balance in sick leave credit, this amount will be deducted from her final paycheque.
