Employee Initiated Shift Changes. (one to five days) It is up to the individual employee to find another employee wishing to change shifts. Each employee must already be certified in the position. The supervisor on each shift will be notified in writing prior to the shift change. The supervisors must agree prior to the shift change and ensure equal capabilities and that the area will not be adversely affected. The company will provide the union with a copy of the change in status form used to record the change of shift.

Employee Initiated Shift Changes. Employees who mutually agree to change shifts may request approval for the change in writing or through the electronic scheduling system within twenty-four (24 hours prior to the change. This can only be done within the posted schedule and must be within the pay period. Overtime resulting from a change in shifts shall not be paid. The request for approval must be signed by both employees requesting the change (or confirmed in the electronic scheduling system). The County shall not withhold approval of the change unreasonably.

  • Employee Interview A new employee will have the opportunity to meet with a representative of the Union in the employ of the Hospital for a period of up to 15 minutes during the employee's orientation period without loss of regular earnings. The purpose of the meeting will be to acquaint the employee with such representative of the Union and the collective agreement. Such meetings may be arranged collectively or individually for employees by the Hospital as part of the orientation program.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • New Employee Orientation The Union will provide each agency personnel director with the names and addresses of up to two (2) authorized Union representatives per agency to receive notice of each formal orientation meeting held by the Department. The notice will be sent as soon as such meetings are scheduled (but not less than ten (10) days in advance) and will include date, time and location. Due to operational exigencies, agencies may schedule an orientation which will provide the Union with less than the requisite ten (10) days' notice; however the Union shall be notified as soon as possible after the scheduling of the orientation and the Union representative shall be released from duty. Agencies shall routinely schedule orientations in a manner that will allow for the ten (10) day advance notice to the Union. During the formal orientation, the Union will be permitted to give a twenty (20) minute presentation which may include an enrollment in supplemental Union benefits. The parties shall encourage employee attendance, although attendance shall not be mandatory if an employee objects to attending the presentation. In the event a formal orientation meeting is not held, or the Union is unable to attend the formal orientation because the designated Union representatives cannot be released under Article 4, the Employer shall allow the Union representative and the employee(s) to meet during duty hours at a mutually agreed upon time and location for twenty (20) minutes Employee participation in these meetings shall be encouraged although an employee shall not be required to attend such a meeting.

  • NEW EMPLOYEE INFORMATION Management will provide each new employee covered by this MOU a printed notice containing the following information only:

  • Compensatory Time for Overtime Eligible Employees A. Compensatory Time Eligibility Compensatory time off may be earned in lieu of cash only when an institution and the employee agree. Compensatory time must be granted at the rate of one and one half (1-1/2) hours of compensatory time for each hour of overtime worked.

  • Split Shifts No shift shall be split for a period longer than the regularly scheduled meal and rest periods as provided for in Article 14.08.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.

  • Pregnancy/Parental/Adoption Leave Pregnancy Leave will be in accordance with the current Employment Standards Act (Pregnancy and Parental Leave) at the time of application. (See Appendix A)
