Employee Interview. A new employee will have the opportunity to meet with a representative of the Union in the employ of the Hospital for a period of up to 15 minutes during the employee's orientation period without loss of regular earnings. The purpose of the meeting will be to acquaint the employee with such representative of the Union and the collective agreement. Such meetings may be arranged collectively or individually for employees by the Hospital as part of the orientation program.

Standard Provisions COMBINED ARTICLE UNION REPRESENTATIONAND COMMITTEES UNIONACTIVITY ON PREMISES AND/OR ACCESS TO PREMISES "The Union agrees that neither it, nor its officers, agents, representatives and members will engage in the solicitation of members, holding of meetings or any other Union activities on Hospital premises or on Hospital time without the prior approval of the Hospital, except as specifically provided for in this Agreement. Such approval will not be unreasonably denied." Labour-Management "Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply. An equal number of representatives of each party as mutually agreed shall meet at a time and place mutually satisfactory. A request for a meeting hereunder will be made in writing prior to the date proposed and accompanied by an agenda of matters proposed to be discussed, which shall not include matters that are properly the subject of grievance or negotiations for the amendment or renewal of this agreement. Any attending such meetings during their regularly scheduled hours of work shall not lose regular earnings as a result of such attendance. ARTICLE UNION REPRESENTATION AND COMMITTEES Union Activity on Premises and/or Access to Premises The Union shall have the right to have the assistance of a national representative of the Canadian Union of Employees when dealing or negotiating with the Hospital. With prior approval of the Director of Personnel, such representative shall have access to the Hospital premises in order to investigate or assist in the settlement of a written grievance under this contract. Such approval shall not be unreasonably denied.
