Employee Family. ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EFAP) 34.01 Substance abuse is recognized to be a serious medical and social problem that can affect employees. The Company and the Union have a strong interest in encouraging early treatment and assisting employees towards full rehabilitation. The Company will recognize the Union’s EFAP representative and pay up to five thousand ($5,000.00) dollars for training and education of such person during the term of this agreement. The EFAP Representative will be elected by the Union Membership or appointed by the Bargaining Committee, Local and National Union each contractual term. The Company will continue to provide a comprehensive approach towards dealing with substance abuse and its related problems. Company assistance will include referral of such employees to appropriate counselling services or treatment and rehabilitation facilities. The Company will provide a leave of absence and all normal group insurance benefits while under a medically prescribed course of treatment.

  • Employee Travel 26.5.1 Upon being offered an assignment involving travel between two (2) or more work sites, a substitute teacher will be informed of the travel requirements.

This provision shall not apply in the instance where the availability of personnel is critical and an appropriate waiver is granted by the New Hampshire State Department of Education.

  • Long-Term Disability (Employee Paid Plans)

  • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.

  • Laid Off Employees A) Should vacancies occur following layoff, those employees on layoff will be recalled to these positions in order of seniority providing they have the capabilities and the qualifications to perform the duties of the vacant position. If no employee on layoff possesses the required capabilities and qualifications, the vacant position will be posted pursuant to Article 15.01.

  • Former Employees All Employees terminating service with the Employer during the Plan Year and who have satisfied the eligibility requirements based on the terms of the Employer's accumulated benefits plans checked below (select all that apply; leave blank if no exclusions):

  • Office Employees The normal work day shall consist of a scheduled period of seven (7) hours of work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The normal work week shall consist of five (5) such days, Monday to Friday inclusive. Any clerical Employee assigned to work in the Public Works Yard Office will have his/her hours of work adjusted to coincide with the finishing time of outside Employees.

  • Employment Pool a. All certificated employees who are not recommended for retention in accordance with these procedures shall be terminated from employment and placed in an employment pool for possible re-employment for a period of up to two (2) years. Employment pool personnel will be given the opportunity to fill open positions within the categories or specialties identified in Section 2.A.3. for which they are qualified under Section 2.A.5. If more than one such employee is qualified for an open position, the criteria set forth in Section 2.A.6. shall be applied to determine who shall be offered such position.
