Emergency Call Back and Overtime. A. Winter Call Back Provisions-Street Division of Public Works Department Teamsters and Operators: In order to have employees available to respond to winter street conditions on weekends and work needed outside of regular scheduled shifts, the Division shall establish a rotating stand-by list of qualified employees to operate the necessary equipment. Employees shall be assigned to the list according to ability and seniority on a "volunteer first" basis. Any employee on the standby list who does not respond or refuses a call to work without an acceptable reason will be suspended from future assignments for the remainder of the winter. Employees actually placed in weekend stand-by status shall be compensated at the rate of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour for each twenty-four hour period ofthe weekend. Employees who are called to work while on standby status shall not forfeit any of the standby compensation. Weekend and holiday call out will be accomplished on a rotational basis, i.e. senior employee assigned to stand by will be called out the first day. The second employee will be called out first the second day, if only one person is needed for call out. This rotational system will be employed for all call out situations to spread overtime opportunities and maintain safe operations. As it becomes necessary to call out personnel to operate equipment during weekends or after scheduled shifts (other than those on stand-by), residency within an area where response time can be achieved by actually reporting to work within forty-five (45) minutes of callback, no matter what the weather and road conditions are, will be the deciding factor. Pursuant to the application ofthis deciding factor, overtime shall be offered on a seniority basis to employees eligible for callback, except the bid-blade position, which shall be offered to those employees whom currently hold such Blade Bids. During winter months, the employer may hold over a regularly scheduled crew in lieu of calling out standby personnel providing the hold-over ofregularly scheduled personnel is for less than two (2) hours extending into a scheduled stand-by period. Ifit is anticipated that a job will require more than two (2) hours, standby personnel will be called out. In order to have an employee available to respond to calls during weekends, holidays and after hours, Electronic Technicians shall be compensated at the rate of thirty-nine ($39.00) per day- when placed on stand-by. This amount will increase by 4% for Fy25 and Fy26.

  • Emergency Call Back Employees who are called back to work after completing their regular shift and who are relieved of duty before commencing their next regular shift shall be paid a minimum of four (4) hours’ straight-time pay for all time worked up to two (2) hours. Any time worked in excess of two (2) hours shall be paid for at double the straight-time rate of pay for actual hours worked. Example: Zero (0) minutes to two (2) hours = 4 hours’ straight-time pay. Two and one-half (2 1/2) hours = 5 hours’ straight-time pay. Four (4) hours = 8 hours’ straight-time pay.

  • WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME Section 1. The normal work week will consist of forty (40) hours. Department management will establish the work week and hours of work best suited to meet the needs of the Department and provide superior service to the community. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or limitation of the number of hours to be worked per week.

  • Emergency Call Out A call‐out shall occur when supervisory personnel specifically require an employee to perform emergency work outside the regular scheduled hours. All employees shall be paid two (2) times the regular rate of pay for all time worked during a call‐out for a minimum of two (2) hours up to a maximum of three (3) hours. All additional time worked over the three (3) hours emergency call‐out shall be at the regular overtime rate of pay of the employee. Anytime an employee on standby is monitoring the work of others they shall receive emergency call‐out pay.

  • Emergency Calls IP Phones need an additional power supply to operate. In the event of a power failure it is your responsibility to ensure you have the means to make emergency calls.   • Under-Frequency and Over Frequency Conditions The New York State Transmission System is designed to automatically activate a load- shed program as required by the NPCC in the event of an under-frequency system disturbance. Developer shall implement under-frequency and over-frequency relay set points for the Large Generating Facility as required by the NPCC to ensure “ride through” capability of the New York State Transmission System. Large Generating Facility response to frequency deviations of predetermined magnitudes, both under-frequency and over-frequency deviations, shall be studied and coordinated with the NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner in accordance with Good Utility Practice. The term “ride through” as used herein shall mean the ability of a Generating Facility to stay connected to and synchronized with the New York State Transmission System during system disturbances within a range of under-frequency and over-frequency conditions, in accordance with Good Utility Practice and with NPCC Regional Reliability Reference Directory # 12, or its successor.
