Effect of Leave of Absence on Accrual of Vacation Leave. The granting of any leave of absence without pay exceeding fifteen (15) consecutive calendar days shall cause the employee's annual vacation earned during the calendar year to be reduced proportionately for each month or major portion of a month that the employee is on leave of absence without pay.

Effect of Leave of Absence on Accrual of Vacation Leave. An employee’s accumulation of vacation leave will cease after the completion of two (2) full scheduled pay periods in which the employee has not received compensation due to a leave of absence without pay. Accrual will be reinstituted beginning the first day of the first full pay period after the employee has returned to work.
