Condition of Leave. As a condition for the granting of the sabbatical leave, the teacher shall enter into a contract with the Board to continue in service for a period of at least two (2) years after the expiration of the leave of absence. Upon failure to continue, the teacher may be required to repay to the Board a sum bearing the same ratio to the amount received while on sabbatical that the unfulfilled portion of the two subsequent years' service bears to the full two years. However, the teacher shall be released from such payment if the failure to serve the stipulated two years be due to illness or disability, or if the teacher is discharged from the position. In addition, no repayment will be due from the teacher's estate, if the teacher should expire before the end of the two-year period.

Condition of Leave. Any administrator, subject to the approval of the Superintendent, may be granted a leave of absence for not more than one (1) year for the purpose of advanced study at any accredited institution of higher learning provided he/she agrees to return immediately to the New Bedford School System for two (2) years unless excused for serious reasons.

  • Duration of Leave An eligible female employee may apply for pregnancy leave, to commence after the 22nd week of pregnancy for a duration of up to 17 weeks. The pregnancy leave of an employee who is not entitled to take parental leave ends on the later of the day that is seventeen weeks after the pregnancy leave began or the day that is six weeks after the birth, still-birth or miscarriage.

  • Termination of Leave Interruption of pregnancy will terminate the leave. Human Resources may require in such cases forty-five (45) days notice to return.

  • Condition of Leased Premises Tenant hereby acknowledges that Xxxxxx has examined the leased premises prior to the signing of this Lease, or knowingly waived said examination. Modification Of This Lease Any modification of this lease shall not be binding upon Landlord unless in writing and signed by Landlord or Landlord’s authorized agent. No oral representation shall be effective to modify this Lease. If, as per the terms of this paragraph, any provision of this lease is newly added, modified, or stricken out, the remainder of this Lease shall remain in full force and effect.

  • Cancellation of Leave The Employer, upon prior notice to the employee, may cancel any approved leave of absence at any time the Employer has evidence that the employee is using the leave for purposes other than those specified at the time of approval.

  • Abuse of Leave If it is found that a leave is not actually being used for the purpose for which it was granted, the Employer may cancel the leave and direct the employee to report for work by giving written notice to the employee.
