CLASSIFICATIONS AND RECLASSIFICATION. 44.1 The Employer will allocate positions on a “best fit” basis to the most appropriate classification at the University of Washington. Allocations shall be based on a position’s duties, responsibilities, or qualifications.

CLASSIFICATIONS AND RECLASSIFICATION. 44.1 The current classifications with their respective pay levels are hereby incorporated into this contract as Appendix I. The existing class specifications for these jobs are considered in effect upon the execution of this contract.

A copy of each of the Specifications, and any changes made thereto from time to time, shall be provided to the Union. If a new classification is established by the Employer or if a substantial change is made to any existing Specifications, the rate and Classification Specifications will be established by the Employer and the Union will be advised. If the Union objects to the new rate, in writing, within thirty (30) days, the parties will meet to negotiate the rate. If the parties cannot agree on the rate, the rate will be determined by a one-person Arbitration Board established as provided in the Grievance Procedure Article in this Agreement. The issue of whether the change is substantial is grievable within the thirty (30) day period.

  • Classification Structure All employees working under this Agreement shall be classified according to the skill based classification structure set out in Appendix A.
