Changes in Work Day or Work Week/Period. To depart from the normal work day or work week/period, or to change the normal work week between a four (4) or five (5) day week, or to establish a shift that is not currently being used by that Appointing Authority in the interest of efficient operations, to meet needs of the public or an Agency, to provide for more beneficial services, or to better use facilities or the working force, no less than twenty-eight (28) calendar days’ notice will be given to the Local Union. Upon request, the Appointing Authority will discuss the new schedules with the Local Union affording it an opportunity to express its views, prior to the posting period required in Section 1C. When schedules are changed the new schedule shall be posted pursuant to Section 1C. Existing schedules may remain in effect.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Changes in Work A. Work Previously Submitted as Satisfactory. If the Engineer has submitted work in accordance with the terms of this contract but the State requests changes to the completed work or parts thereof which involve changes to the original scope of services or character of work under the contract, the Engineer shall make such revisions as requested and as directed by the State. This will be considered as additional work and paid for as specified under Article 4, Additional Work.

  • Work Day and Work Week (A) The normal hours of work for all full-time employees shall be thirty-five (35) hours per week, or seventy (70) hours per two consecutive weeks. All employees are entitled to thirty-two (32) consecutive hours free from work each week, unless overtime rates are paid, as per Article 29.02.

  • Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Modified Work Week Where Employees in a unit have indicated a desire to work a modified work week, the Employer may authorize experiments with modified work week schedule, providing operational requirements permit and the provision of services are not adversely affected. The averaging period for a modified work week shall not exceed three (3) calendar weeks, and the work day shall not exceed ten (10) hours .

  • Day Work The work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 ½) hours exclusive of lunch periods, comprising five (5) days of seven and one-half (7 ½) hours each, Monday through Friday. The work day shall be scheduled to fall between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise agreed.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.
