Sunday work definition

Sunday work. Any work or tour which begins on Sunday.
Sunday work means any work performed where the relevant shift commences on a Sunday and where the major portion of that shift is performed on that Sunday;
Sunday work means any work performed where the relevant shift commences on a Sunday and where at least half of that shift is ordinarily performed on that Sunday.

Examples of Sunday work in a sentence

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing in Article 10.06 nothing shall preclude the Company from paying more than the minimums required by this Collective Agreement for Sunday work, but any such additional payment on any one or more Sundays shall be deemed to be without prejudice and shall not set a precedent for any similar or otherwise, additional payments to any employee or group of employees for any one or more Sundays thereafter.

  • Saturday or Sunday work may be required of all employees, and will be scheduled according to Local Agreements.

  • Overtime operations may include Saturday and Sunday work, two or three shift work, or overtime on a one shift basis.

More Definitions of Sunday work

Sunday work. Any time worked on Sunday, as provided in Section 12.01 of this Agreement.
Sunday work means for all time of duty on Sunday, payment shall be made at the rate of double time.
Sunday work means nonovertime work performed by an employee during a regularly scheduled daily tour of duty when any part of that daily tour of duty is on a Sunday.
Sunday work. For employees hired before ratification of the 1989 Collective Agreement, all work performed on Sunday shall be paid at straight-time rates plus a premium of one dollar sixty cents ($1.60) per hour (eighty cents [80¢] for each full half hour worked), except that Service Clerks shall receive a premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour (fifty cents [50¢] per half hour). For purposes of the Collective Agreement, Sunday is considered the first (1st) day of the basic workweek and, in the event an employee worked in excess of the basic workweek as set out in Section 5.01, the last such day or days worked in such weeks shall be considered as the day or days for which overtime applies. 1. Work on Sunday shall be voluntary. 2. Sunday work shall be considered as "available hours" as set out in Section 14.05, and shall be offered according to seniority. 3. Employees shall notify Management at the beginning of each two (2) month period of their availability to work on Sundays. 4. If sufficient employees are not available to work on Sundays, the Employer shall have the right to schedule hours according to "reverse seniority," provided the employee has the ability to perform the work required. 5. Notwithstanding the foregoing, it is understood that the Employer may require "key personnel" to work on Sundays.
Sunday work. Any type of work performed on Sundays shall be per agreement between the parties and the Employee shall be paid as follows: Four hours or less Payment of four hours wages More than two hours but not more than five hours The ordinary daily wage More than five hours The greater of double the wage payable in respect of time worked (excluding overtime) or the ordinary daily wage
Sunday work means any ordinary hours worked between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday.
Sunday work means work performed during a regularly scheduled tour of duty within a basic workweek when any part of that work which is not overtime work is performed on Sunday.
