Carrying Chromebooks. By providing a protective, padded cover, you will protect the Chromebook from normal treatment and provide a suitable means for carrying the device within the school. It is recommended that the Chromebook be protected by a cover. Nylon drawstring bags are insufficient protection for the Chromebooks, and should not be used. Using a Chromebook at School ● Chromebooks are intended for use at school each day. In addition to teacher expectations for Chromebook use, school messages, announcements, calendars, and schedules may be accessed using the Chromebook. Students are responsible for bringing their Chromebook to all classes unless specifically instructed not to do so by a teacher.

Doing so will strip off the matte layer. Applications and Extensions on iPads The applications originally installed by Courtenay Language Arts Center must remain on the iPad and accessible at all times. The school has loaded applications needed for instruction. During the year, the school may add additional applications. Inappropriate Content Inappropriate content will not be allowed on the iPads as it appears in any saved images on the hard drive, background images, screen savers, and avatars. This includes: the presence of weapons; pornographic materials; inappropriate language; alcohol, drugs, and/or gang related symbols or pictures per the Student Code of Conduct. Inspection iPads will be physically inspected at random to ensure that all parts are in working condition. Sound Sound will be muted at all times unless permission is obtained from the teacher for instructional purposes. Students will be responsible for providing their own headphones to use with the iPads. Deleting/Moving Files Students should not delete or move any software applications, folders or files that they did not create or that they do not recognize. Deletion of certain files or applications will result in the student’s inability to complete class work.
