Bridge Design and Detailing. (Applicable to Segment B only) This task includes the design and detailing of the bridge based on Caltrans manuals and procedures. We have assumed a three- span cast-in-placed, pre-stressed concrete, haunched box girder bridge in estimating our design scope. The bridge is assumed to include two stages with a closure pour near the center median. The design effort for other alternatives may require a revision to our scope and fee estimate.

Bridge Design and Detailing. Bridge design will be in accordance with the LRFD Specifications with Caltrans amendments and applicable sections of the Bridge Memos to Designers and Bridge Design Aids manuals. The design will meet County, Caltrans and FHWA standards in effect as of the date of Notice to Proceed. Seismic design will be performed in accordance with latest edition of the Caltrans Seismic Design Criteria. Detailing of plans will be in accordance with Caltrans Bridge Design Details Manual. Both the design and detailing will be based on the use of the latest Mendocino County Standards and Caltrans Standard Plans and Standard Specifications. Task 2.7 - 65% Plans Submittal A submittal of the 65% plans will be made to the County. A preliminary contract item list will be prepared, as well as an updated GP estimate reflecting any significant changes from the Type Selection report. DHA will perform an independent QA/QC review of the 65% plans and incorporate appropriate revisions prior to submittal to the County. Upon receipt of County comments on the 65% plans submittal, DHA will review and incorporate applicable revisions into the design and will resubmit at the 95% submittal.

  • Design and Drawings (i) Design and Drawings shall be developed in conformity with the Specifications and Standards set forth in Schedule-D. In the event, the Contractor requires any relaxation in design standards due to restricted Right of Way in any section, the alternative design criteria for such section shall be provided for review and approval of the Authority’s Engineer.

  • Design and Construction In complying with the requirements of the specification both with respect to arrangement and detail, design is to conform to the best current engineering practice. Each of the several parts of the material is to be of the maker’s standard design provided that this design is in general accordance with the specification. The essence of design should be simplicity and reliability in order to give long continuous service with high economy and low maintenance cost. Particular attention should be paid to internal and external access in order to facilitate inspection, cleaning and maintenance. The design dimensions and materials of all parts are to be such that they will not suffer damage as a result of stresses under the most severe conditions. Fully detailed specifications of the several parts of the material are to be submitted describing particularly the materials to be used. The materials used in the construction of the material are to be of the highest quality and selected particularly to meet the duties required of them. Mechanisms are to be constructed to avoid sticking due to rust or corrosion. Workmanship and general finish are to be of the highest class throughout. All similar parts of the material are to be interchangeable. All equipment is to operate without undue vibration and with the least possible amount of noise and is not to cause a nuisance. All equipment is to be designed to minimize the risk of fire and any damage, which may be caused in the event of fire. The equipment is also to be designed to prevent ingress of all vermin, accidental contact with live parts and to minimize the ingress of dust and dirt. The use of materials, which may be liable to attack by termites or other insects, is to be avoided.

  • Coordination of Design and Construction Contract Documents 5.5.1 Review model(s), Drawings, Specifications and other Construction Documents as they are developed by A/E during the Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents design phases of the Project.

  • Scope of Work and Deliverables 9.1 Background and Scope

  • PRE-CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES The Pre-Construction Phase shall be deemed to commence upon the date specified in a written Notice to Proceed with Pre-Construction Phase Services issued by Owner and shall continue through completion of the Construction Documents and procurement of all major Subcontractor agreements. Contractor is not entitled to reimbursement for any costs incurred for Pre-Construction Phase Services performed before issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. Pre-Construction Phase Services may overlap Construction Phase Services. Contractor shall perform the following Pre-Construction Phase Services:

  • Project Design Applicants must design a project that provides access to health services to enable eligible women and men experiencing health needs to secure and maintain safe and accessible quality screening and diagnostic services, comprehensive family planning, and/ or other women’s health services.

  • Technical Support Services 2.1 The technical support services (the "Services"): Party A agrees to provide to Party B the relevant services requested by Party B, which are specified in Exhibit 1 attached hereto ("Exhibit 1").

  • TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE If technical support and maintenance is a part of the Goods that Contractor provides under the Contract, Contractor will use commercially reasonable efforts to respond to the Department in a reasonable time when the Department makes technical support or maintenance requests regarding the Goods.
