Bridge Design Sample Clauses

Bridge Design. 1. BRIDGE LAYOUT The Engineer shall prepare the bridge layout plan sheet. The Engineer shall determine the location of each soil boring needed for foundation design in accordance with the Geotechnical Manual. The Engineer shall submit each bridge layout early in the plan preparation process to obtain approval from the State. The Engineer shall comply with all relevant sections of the latest edition of the State’s Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Bridge Design Manual, Bridge Project Development Manual, Bridge Detailing Manual, and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and respective checklists. Each bridge layout sheet must include bridge typical sections, structural dimensions, abutment and bent locations, superstructure and substructure types. The existing and proposed headwater (HW) elevations for the 1% AEP and the design frequency shall be included in the profile view. The Engineer shall locate and plot all soil borings and utilities, show proposed retaining walls, and, for staged construction, indicate limits of existing bridge for removal and reconstruction.

Bridge Design. 3.3.2.1.1Bridge Geometrics Bridge geometrics shall be developed in accordance with the roadway design
Bridge Design a) The Engineer shall perform bridge design required for any roadway crossings to the proposed improvements to the existing channels and/or proposed channels of the Project. The design of these bridges shall conform to the Project design criteria required by the Owner (City, County, or State), of the associated -bridge structure and/or roadway, and the requirements set forth by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), "Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges" and Texas Department of Transportation Design Manual, latest editions. These designs shall in all respects combine the application of sound engineering principles with a high degree of economy, and shall be submitted to the applicable City, County, State, and/or Federal agencies for approval.
Bridge Design. The ENGINEER will prepare a bridge layout and structural details for a three span, four (4) lane divided Bridge 12 ft. widening. The ENGINEER will prepare a 30% submittal to TxDOT consisting of bridge plan, elevations and sections for review and approval before detailing is started. The ENGINEER will perform final design of preferred foundation type for bridge structure in accordance with the TxDOT’s Bridge Division Geotechnical Manual and Geotechnical design report recommendations. The ENGINEER will perform interim review and final, detailed designs in accordance with the current TxDOT Bridge Design Manual and 2020 AASHTO LRFD 9th Edition design requirements utilizing a conventional precast, prestressed concrete U-Beam superstructure and conventional reinforced concrete xxxxx with conventional substructures. The ENGINEER will perform final, detailed bridge design utilizing cast-in-place concrete deck and prestressed concrete U-Beam superstructure and multicolumn reinforced concrete xxxxx and abutments. The ENGINEER will produce summary tables of all bridge structure quantities, provide beam end bearing seat elevations tables and provide bent and abutment control elevations. The ENGINEER will prepare the bridge construction General Notes and Specifications and transmit these documents to the COUNTY. The bridge layouts will include: Plan View
