ARTICLE 1 - PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. 1:01 It is the intent and purpose of the Parties to establish as herein set forth, their full Agreement covering wages, hours of work and other working conditions and to provide procedure for the prompt and equitable adjustment of grievances so as to prevent interruptions of work and to promote an efficient operation.   • PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT 1.01 The purpose of this Agreement is to maintain harmonious and mutually beneficial relationships between the Employer, the employees and the Union, to set forth certain terms and conditions of employment relating to pay, hours of work, employee benefits, and general working conditions affecting employees covered by this Agreement and to ensure that all reasonable measures are provided for the safety and occupational health of the employees.

  • GENERAL PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT The general purpose of this agreement is, in the mutual interest of the employer and employee, to provide for the operation of the plant hereinafter mentioned under methods which will further, to the fullest extent possible, the safety and physical welfare of the employees, economy of operation, quality and quantity of output, cleanliness of plant and protection of property.
