GENERAL PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. The general purpose of this agreement is, in the mutual interest of the employer and employee, to provide for the operation of the plant hereinafter mentioned under methods which will further, to the fullest extent possible, the safety and physical welfare of the employees, economy of operation, quality and quantity of output, cleanliness of plant and protection of property. It is recognized by this agreement to be the duty of the Company and the employees to co-operate fully, individually and collectively, for the advancement of said conditions.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. 1.01 The parties are agreed that the purpose of the Agreement is to provide orderly collective bargaining relations between the Employer and the Union, and the employees of the Employer, to secure prompt and equitable disposition of grievances and to eliminate interruptions of work and interference with the proper operation of the Employer’s business, and to set out the agreement reached between the parties with respect to the matters hereinafter set out as conditions of employment for employees covered by this agreement.

It is the further purpose of the Agreement to prevent interruption of work and to promote the efficient operation of business.

L.A.1.1 It is the general purpose of this local part of the Collective Agreement to establish the allowances, benefits and salaries as well as certain working conditions and to provide procedures for the prompt and equitable disposition of grievances, which may arise between the parties, without any interference to the operation of the Board and its schools.
