Accrued Days off System. Employees, with the written agreement of their Manager, may elect to work a 40 hour week at ordinary time rates and either be paid for 38 ordinary hours per week and accrue 2 hours at ordinary time rates per week in lieu of being paid overtime to be taken as an accrued day off (ADO) or employees can choose not to accrue the two [2] hours in excess of 38 hours a week and be paid at the appropriate overtime rates for these hours. Employee’s have the availability to change between the above two options once per calendar year. A maximum of Five [5] days, at eight [8] hours a day may be accrued at any time. Accrued days off may be taken at a time mutually agreed between the employee and their manager provided that should the employees accrued hours exceed 40 hours (5x8 hours a day) then the Employer may give the employee two weeks notice to take part of the accrued time off so as to reduce the accrued hours to 40 hours. Employees may elect in December of each year to have their accrued hours paid out as a lump sum at ordinary time rates.
