Safety sensitive employee means an individual employed by, contracted by, or a volunteer of, the RTA that:¶
Safety sensitive employee means those in positions which require a Commercial Driver’s License; law enforcement personnel who carry fire arms; correction employees; emergency responders; employees who work with vulnerable populations, and heavy equipment operators. Whether a specific position is “safety sensitive” will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Human Resources Office in consultation with the individual Program.
Safety sensitive employee means any driver or employee who operates a commercial motor vehicle or who repairs, maintains, and/or works in, on or around a commercial motor vehicle, and/or who may perform other DOT- covered safety sensitive functions. This includes, but is not limited to full-time, regularly employed drivers and part-time and seasonal drivers who operate a commercial motor vehicle, or who may perform other DOT- covered safety sensitive functions at the direction of or with the consent of the CITY.
