Prepaid Mental Health Plan or PMHP definition

Prepaid Mental Health Plan or PMHP means a mental health and/or substance use disorder plan operated under the Department’s freedom-of-choice waiver approved by CMS that allows the Department to require Medicaid Eligible Individuals in certain counties of the State to obtain Covered Services from specified contractors. Primary Care Case Management or PCCM means a system under which a PCCM contracts with the Department to furnish case management services (which include the location, coordination and monitoring of primary health care services) to Medicaid recipients. Provider means a Participating Provider or a Non-Participating Provider. Provider Preventable Condition means a condition that meets the definition of a Health Care- Acquired Condition or an Other Provider-Preventable condition. Risk Contract means a contract under which the contractor assumes risk for the cost of the services covered under the contract; and incurs loss if the cost of furnishing the services exceeds the payments under the contract. XXX means the System for Award Management database.

Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Program or QAPI or QAPIP means the Contractor’s plan to establish and implement an ongoing comprehensive quality assessment and performance improvement program for the services it furnishes to its Enrollees in accordance with 42 CFR 438.330. Rate Cell means a set of mutually exclusive categories of Enrollees that is defined by one or more characteristics for the purpose of determining the Capitation Rate and making a Capitation Payment; such characteristics may include age, gender, eligibility category, and region or geographic area. Each Enrollee is categorized in one of the Rate Cells for each unique set of mutually exclusive benefits under the Contract. Rating Period means a period of 12 months selected by the Department for which the actuarially sound Capitation Rates are developed and documented in the rate certification submitted to CMS as required by 42 CFR 438.7(a). Readily Accessible means electronic information and services which comply with modern accessibility standards such as section 508 guidelines, section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA and successor versions. Risk Contract means a contract under which the contractor assumes risk for the cost of the services covered under the contract; and incurs loss if the cost of furnishing the services exceeds the payments under the contract. Primary Care means all health care services and laboratory services customarily furnished by or through a general practitioner, family physician, internal medicine physician, obstetrician/gynecologist, or pediatrician, to the extent the furnishing of those services is legally authorized in the State in which the practitioner furnishes them. Primary Care Provider or PCP means a health care provider the majority of whose practice is devoted to internal medicine, family/general practice or pediatrics. The Contractor may allow other specialists to be PCPs, when appropriate. PCPs are responsible for delivering Primary Care services, coordinating and managing Enrollees’ overall health, and authorizing referrals for other necessary care. Provider means a Participating Provider or a Non-Participating Provider. Provider Preventable Condition means a condition that meets the definition of a Health Care- Acquired Condition or an Other Provider-Preventable condition.   • Mental health therapist means the same as that term is defined in Section 58-60-102.

  • Qualified mental health professional means a licensed medical practitioner or any other person meeting the qualifications specified in OAR 309-019-0125.

  • Mental Health Worker means an individual that assists in planning, developing and evaluating mental health services for Clients; provides liaison between Clients and service providers; and has obtained a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, or social work, or has two years of experience providing client related services to Clients experiencing mental health, drug abuse or alcohol disorders. Education in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, or social work may be substituted for up to one year of the experience requirement.

  • Mental health facility means a mental health facility as defined by the Inpatient Mental Health Treatment of Children Act;

  • Local Mental Health Authority means a county legislative body.

  • Community mental health program means all mental health

  • Practice of psychology means the observation, description, evaluation, interpretation, or modification of human behavior by the application of psychological principles, methods, and procedures for the purpose of preventing or eliminating symptomatic, maladaptive, or undesired behavior and enhancing interpersonal relationships, work and life adjustment, personal effectiveness, behavioral health, and mental health. The term includes psychological testing and the evaluation or assessment of personal characteristics, such as intelligence, personality, abilities, interests, aptitudes, and neuropsychological functioning; counseling, psychotherapy, biofeedback, behavior analysis and therapy, clinical applications of hypnosis, and other therapeutic techniques based on psychological principles; diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional disorder or disability, compulsive disorders, disorders of habit or conduct as well as of the psychological aspects of physical illness, accident, injury, or disability; and psychoeducational evaluation, therapy, remediation, and consultation. The term includes providing psychological services to individuals, families, groups, organizations, institutions, and the public regardless of whether payment is received for services rendered. The term includes supervising others who are engaged in the practice of psychology.

  • Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Designated mental health professional means a mental health

  • Licensed mental health professional or "LMHP" means a physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner, licensed marriage and family therapist, certified psychiatric clinical nurse specialist, licensed behavior analyst, or licensed psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner.

  • Electric related service means a service that is directly related

  • Non-Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Mental, Nervous or Psychological Disorder means a mental or nervous health condition including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, neurosis, phobia, psychosis; or any related physical manifestation.

  • Mental health services means interventions designed to provide the maximum reduction of mental disability and restoration or maintenance of functioning consistent with the requirements for learning, development and enhanced self-sufficiency. Services shall include:

  • Dental hygienist means an individual licensed under this chapter to practice as a dental hygienist.

  • Community mental health center or "CMHC" means a facility offering a comprehensive array of community-based mental health services, including but not limited to, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, emergency care, consultation and education; and, certain services at the option of the center, including, but not limited to, prescreening, rehabilitation services, pre-care and aftercare, training programs, and research and evaluation.

  • Psychiatric nurse means a registered nurse who has

  • Armed Forces service medal veteran means any veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985 (61 FR 1209).

  • graduate psychiatric nurse means a person whose name is entered on the register of graduate psychiatric nurses of the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba. The terms of this Agreement shall be applicable to the graduate nurse, the graduate practical nurse, graduate psychiatric nurse, and graduate nurse practitioner, except as otherwise specified in the Collective Agreement.

  • Mental health service provider means a public or private

  • Psychotherapy notes means notes recorded (in any medium) by a health care provider who is a mental health professional documenting or analyzing the contents of conversation during a private counseling session or a group, joint, or family counseling session and that are separated from the rest of the of the individual’s medical record. Psychotherapy notes excludes medication prescription and monitoring, counseling session start and stop times, the modalities and frequencies of treatment furnished, results of clinical tests, and any summary of the following items: diagnosis, functional status, the treatment plan, symptoms, prognosis, and progress to date. 45 C.F.R. § 164.501.

  • Flood-related erosion area management means the operation of an overall program of corrective and preventive measures for reducing flood-related erosion damage, including but not limited to emergency preparedness plans, flood-related erosion control works and floodplain management regulations.

  • Psychotropic medication means medication the prescribed intent of which is to affect or alter thought processes, mood, or behavior including but not limited to anti-psychotic, antidepressant, anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), and behavior medications. The classification of a medication depends upon its stated, intended effect when prescribed.
