Local Government Authorities definition

Local Government Authorities means the local government authorities established under Article 145 of this Constitution for the purposes of exercising the people’s power;
Local Government Authorities means those organizations that are the political governing units of a county, district or municipality that enforce laws, regulations or ordinances within their specific geographical areas.
Local Government Authorities or “LGAs” means the following local government authorities which make up the third tier in the governance structure of the Recipient and fall under the administrative authority of PCs as set out in the 13th Amendment to the Recipient’s Constitution:

  • Local government means a unit of government in a State and, if chartered, established, or otherwise recognized by a State for the performance of a governmental duty, including a local public authority, a special district, an intrastate district, a council of governments, a sponsor group representative organization, and any other instrumentality of a local government.

  • Regulatory Authorities means the Commissions and the Exchange;

  • Central Government means the Government of India;
