Interconnection costs definition

Interconnection costs means the reasonable costs of connection, switching, metering, transmission, distribution, safety provisions and administrative costs incurred by the electric utility directly related to the installation and maintenance of the physical facilities necessary to permit interconnected operations with qualifying facilities and AEP facilities, to the extent the costs are in excess of the corresponding costs which the electric utility would have incurred if it had not engaged in interconnected operations, but instead generated an equivalent amount of electric energy itself or purchased an equivalent amount of electric energy or capacity from other sources. Interconnection costs do not include any costs included in the calculation of avoided costs.
Interconnection costs means all costs paid or incurred by Seller pursuant to the Interconnection Agreement for the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Attachment Facilities, the System Upgrade Facilities and the System Deliverability Upgrades on the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Electric System, documented by Seller, including any costs Buyer has directed Seller to incur as a consequence of any written election of Buyer pursuant to Section 4.5.
Interconnection costs has the meaning set forth in Section 3.4(a).

Examples of Interconnection costs in a sentence

  • Upon completion of the final accounting, Company shall deliver to Seller an invoice for payment of the amount, if any, of the difference between the Total Estimated Interconnection Cost paid to date and the Total Actual Interconnection Cost, which is the final accounting of the Total Interconnection Costs.
