Witness for a private citizen or for a personal court summons - Any court appearance as a voluntary witness for a private citizen or for a personal court summons shall be with no deduction in salary, provided the employee elects to use either available personal leave or annual leave. If personal leave or annual leave is exhausted or not elected, the employee's salary shall be reduced by the per diem rate of the annual salary for each day of absence.

  • Court Witness Nurses who are subpoenaed or requested by the Medical Center to appear as a witness in a court case during their normal time off duty will be compensated for the time spent in connection with such an appearance in accordance with the applicable rate of pay.
