WCB LEAVE WITH PAY. 1. Where a Teacher suffers from a disease or incurs personal injury (which disease, illness or injury is hereinafter called the "disability") and he/she gains compensation under the Workers' Compensation Act, he/she shall not be required to use his/her sick leave credits for time lost.

WCB LEAVE WITH PAY. An employee prevented from performing his/her regular work with the Employer on account of an occupational illness or accident that is recognized by the Workers' Compensation Board as compensable within the meaning of the Compensation Act, shall receive from the Employer the difference between the amount payable by the Workers' Compensation Board and his/her regular salary to a maximum of six (6) months, provided that such employee shall not be entitled to use his/her sick leave credits for time lost during the said six (6) month period by reason of any such disability.

  • Leave With Pay Compassionate leave of absence with pay shall be granted for three (3) work days. Up to two (2) additional days with pay shall be granted for travelling time when this is warranted in the judgement of the Employer.

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY Sick leave with pay for employees shall be determined in the following manner:

  • Examination Leave With Pay At the Employer's discretion, examination leave with pay may be granted to an employee for the purpose of writing an examination which takes place during the employee's scheduled hours of work, where the course of study is directly related to the employee's duties or will improve his qualifications.

  • Bereavement Leave With Pay For the purpose of this Article, immediate family is defined as father, mother (or alternatively step-father, step-mother or xxxxxx parent), brother, sister, spouse (including common-law partner residing with the employee), child (including child of common-law partner), step-child or xxxx of the employee, grandparent, grandchild, father-in-law, or mother-in-law, and any relative permanently residing in the employee’s household or with whom the employee permanently resides.

  • Entitlement to Vacation Leave With Pay An employee is entitled to vacation leave with pay to the extent of his or her earned credits but an employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment may receive an advance of credits equivalent to the anticipated credits for the vacation year.

  • Leave of Absence With Pay 1. A leave with pay will be granted when an employee serves on a jury or is subpoenaed as a witness in court. The employee shall claim any jury, witness or other fee to which he/she may be entitled by reason of such appearance and forthwith pay the same over to the county clerk.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.
