Common use of Union Business Leave Clause in Contracts

Union Business Leave. The Gallery may grant Leave of Absence without pay to not-more-than three (3) employees, for a total period not exceeding thirty (30) working days in one (1) calendar year, to attend Union conferences or conventions, provided reasonable notice is given by the Union to the Gallery and such absence will not unduly interfere with the operation of the Gallery.

The Gallery may will grant Leave leave of Absence absences without pay to not-more-than three (3) employees, employees for a total period not exceeding thirty ten (3010) consecutive working days in for any one (1) calendar yearfunction, to attend Union conferences or conventionsunion conferences, conventions and educational programmes, provided reasonable notice is given by the Union bargaining unit chairperson to the Gallery and such Gallery. Such absence will not unduly interfere with the operation of the Gallery. The Union will reimburse the Gallery for all wages as a result of lost time and expenses for employees involved in bargaining and arbitrations.
