Troubled Employees. The Employer recognizes alcoholism, drug abuse and emotional problems as illnesses that are treatable. An employee's request for assistance under the Employee Assistance Program will not jeopardize their employment, job rights, or job security. The program is intended for assistance and rehabilitation of employees as a better course than discipline or discharge. An employee may be referred to the program by a supervisor or Union representative. Confidentiality of all parties shall be strictly maintained.
