Temporary Utility Services Sample Clauses

Temporary Utility Services. The Contractor shall provide temporary electric power as necessary for the execution of the Work, including that required by all subcontractors. He shall make the necessary arrangements with Owner, shall bear all costs for these temporary services and shall furnish and install all necessary transformers, metering facilities and distribution centers from branch circuits as he may require. The Contractor shall provide lighting and outlets in temporary structures throughout the project as may be required for safety, proper performance and inspection of the work. If operations are performed during hours of darkness, or if natural lighting is deemed insufficient by Owner, the Contractor shall provide adequate floodlights, clusters and spot illumination. The use of permanently installed lighting fixtures, lamps and tubes for work will not be permitted except by special permission of Owner. The Contractor shall make arrangements with subcontractors for electrical services and lighting as may be necessary in the performance of their work. Temporary water service lines, if required, shall be installed and removed by the Contractor, who shall pay all charges for use of the water, making the connections, running the temporary lines, removing the temporary lines at the completion of the work and disconnecting the services. All relocations required to clear the work of others shall be performed by the Contractor when requested by the Owner.

Temporary Utility Services. Operate and maintain temporary services and facilities in a safe and efficient manner. Modify as required throughout progress of the Contract, and remove from Authority property when no longer required, or replaced by the use of completed permanent facilities as approved by the Engineer. Make arrangements for securing, and pay all costs for heat, light, power, water, and other services which may be required for the performance of the Contract.

  • Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.

  • Building Services Labor Law Article 9 applies to Contracts for building service work over $1,500 with a public agency, that: (i) involve the care or maintenance of an existing building, or (ii) involve the transportation of office furniture or equipment to or from such building, or (iii) involve the transportation and delivery of fossil fuel to such building, and (iv) the principal purpose of which is to furnish services through use of building service employees.
