Common use of Surveillance Cameras Clause in Contracts

Surveillance Cameras. Surveillance cameras and related equipment may be installed by the Employer to protect critical areas of the Employer’s premises from theft or to enhance the personal safety of residents and Employees. Surveillance cameras and related equipment shall not be used in employee-occupied areas during normal working hours without the knowledge of the Employees in the areas and of the Union. Cameras shall not be used solely to monitor Employee performance. Personal Health Information Personal health information of Employees shall be kept confidential. The Employer will retain health information separately and access shall be given only to those persons responsible for occupational health who are directly involved in administering that information.
