The incoming supply for the distribution boards shall be of raw power. The existing supply cable at each pipe line point shall be used as incomer cable to the new distribution boards. A 231VAC UPS shall be used for all loads of each surge tank and the automation loads, refer to the conceptual drawings RB_26499. Suitably rated surge arrestors to be installed. Spares shall be provided as per the Rand Water Specification. The cost of the spares shall be included in the tendered rates. The Contractor shall complete a comprehensive load list of the entire plant, incorporating the relevant derating and diversity factors, and shall calculate the maximum kVA requirement of the entire plant. The Contractor shall state, in the technical returnable schedule, the minimum power consumption (kVA) required to operate each pipe line surge tank loads effectively.
