Specialty Engineer. A Professional Engineer registered in the State of Florida, other than the Engineer of Record or his subcontracted consultant, who undertakes the design and drawing preparation of components, systems, or installation methods and equipment for specific temporary portions of the project work or for special items of the permanent works not fully detailed in the plans and required to be furnished by the Contractor such as but not limited to pot bearing designs, nonstandard expansion joints, MSE wall designs and other specialty items. The Specialty Engineer may also provide designs and details for items of the permanent work declared by the State Construction Office to be “minor” or “non-structural”. The Specialty Engineer may be an employee or officer of the Contractor or a fabricator, an employee or officer of an entity providing components to a fabricator, or an independent consultant. For items of work not specifically covered by the Rules of the Department of Transportation, a Specialty Engineer is qualified if he has the following qualifications:

Specialty Engineer. The Specialty Engineer will fulfill the requirements of a Senior Engineer. Additionally, the Specialty Engineer will be licensed to perform and be actively assigned to perform, as the business need dictates, a substantial portion of the Specialty Engineer's regular duties at the journeyman-level in the specialty work areas of electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC. Specialty Engineers may be able to stand shift alone.‌

  • Engineering Forest Service completed survey and design for Specified Roads prior to timber sale advertisement, unless otherwise shown in A8 or Purchaser survey and design are specified in A7. On those roads for which Forest Service completes the design during the contract, the design quantities shall be used as the basis for revising estimated costs stated in the Schedule of Items and adjusting Timber Sale Account. Forest Service engineering shall be completed according to the schedule in A8. Should Forest Service be unable to perform the designated survey and design by the completion date or other agreed to time, upon written agreement, Purchaser shall assume responsibility for such work. In such event, Contracting Officer shall revise:

  • Procurement Agent The employee of APS authorized to act on behalf of the Owner in this Contract. The Procurement Agent may designate in writing others to act on his behalf, and such designation shall state any limitations on the authority of such designee. Contractor shall not rely upon and Owner shall not be bound by any statement or representation made on behalf of APS by any person not designated to the Contractor in writing as authorized to so act on behalf of the Procurement Agent. It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder, and thereafter the Contractor, to establish the authority to act regarding any communication or action by any person other than the Procurement Agent. Use of the term Procurement Agent in the Contract Documents shall be deemed to include such properly authorized designee within the scope of that designee’s authorization.
