Sick Leave Payment at Separation. Cash payment for sick leave will not be made upon an employee’s, retirement, voluntary separation, or death, except in those instances when the death occurs in the line of duty.

Sick Leave Payment at Separation. An employee who separates employment through retirement or death shall be paid for one-half of unused accumulated sick leave at his/her last rate of pay. In case of death, such payment shall be made to the employee’s beneficiary or estate. An employee who separates employment for reasons other than retirement or death shall be paid at his/her last rate of pay for a percentage of his/her unused accumulated sick leave according to the following chart: Sick Leave Accumulation in Hours Percentage Paid Less than 104 0 104-208 10 209-416 20 417-624 30 625-832 40 833 or more 50 Employees hired on and after October 1, 1980, shall not be entitled to payment for unused accumulated sick leave upon separation or retirement. No payment to the beneficiary or estate for unused sick leave will be made in case of the death of an employee hired on or after October 1, 1980.

  • Sick Leave Payment Any employee, at his/her option may choose to receive payment for sick leave earned during the year which is unused at the end of the year. Any such payment must be for the total number of unused sick leave hours earned during the year, must be based on the hourly rate of pay of the employee multiplied by 50 percent, and all hours for which payment is received must be deducted from the employee’s accumulated leave balance. Sick leave used during a current year will be charged against the most recently earned sick leave. Hourly rate of pay is the hourly rate at the end of the contract year.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.

  • Sick Leave Payoff Employee with accrued, unused sick leave may, at the time of separation, select one of the following options for reimbursement:

  • Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.

  • Sick Leave Donation In accord with state law and Medical Center policy, RN’s may donate sick leave to any employee entitled to receive such donations.

  • Sick Leave Incentive Effective September 1, 1986, employees covered by this Agreement, hired on or after October 1, 1977, who are not entitled to disability leave under State Statute R.C.W. 41.26, shall be eligible for the following sick leave incentive program:

  • Sick Leave Separation Cash Out ‌ At the time of retirement from state service or at death, an eligible employee or the employee’s estate will receive cash for their compensable sick leave balance on a one (1) hour for four (4) hours basis. For the purposes of this Section, retirement will not include “vested out of service” employees who leave funds on deposit with the retirement system.

  • Sick Leave Bonus For every six (6) months of perfect sick leave attendance after July 1, 1987, the employee will receive eight (8) hours of bonus time. This bonus time will be prorated for part-time employees. Such bonus time can be used for any leave purpose covered by this Agreement. Such bonus time shall be counted as vacation leave credits for purposes of determining eligibility for carry- over and cash payments.
