Semester Schedule. At least two (2) non-teaching days or the equivalent, mutually agreed upon by the parties, in the middle schools and the high school for conferences with parents during each of the two semesters. Upon mutual agreement of the parties, these days may be substituted for professional development. It is understood the change would be for both middle schools and/or the high school.
Semester Schedule. 1. The semester schedule for a bargaining unit member’s teaching duties is determined by the designated administrator in consultation with the bargaining unit member and subject to approval by the Vice President of Academics. The best-qualified faculty member, as determined by education, training, experience, and relevant pedagogy shall be offered course assignments on a rotating basis each semester. When each of the above are deemed equal, the faculty member with the most years of seniority shall be offered the assignment. Should that faculty member refuse the assignment, the assignment shall be offered to the next most senior faculty member.
Semester Schedule. Effective 2022-2023 academic school year, a 1.0 FTE who teaches a sixth (6) class (1.2) on a semester calendar shall be compensated at a rate of one-fifth (1/5th) of their daily rate for the additional period.
